The Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Suraksha Manch on Tuesday organised a mass chanting of Hanuman Chalisa at Hanuman temples and other religious institutions across the State in order to appease God for the delay in Brahma Parivartan rituals of Lord Jagnnath and His siblings.In the State level chanting organised at the city-based Ram Mandir people from different walks of life chanted the Chalisa for 11 times. Babaji Sri Ram Prasad Maharaj led the spiritual programme.
Manch coordinator Laxmikanta Dash maintained that it necessary to streamline the functioning of the rituals of Jagannath Temple.“To avoid incidents like delay in Brahma Parivartan rituals of Lord Jagannath and His siblings, the management of the Temple should be freed from the grips of Government and officers. The management should be formed taking the Shankaracharya, Gajapati and other spiritual leaders,” said Manch coordinator Laxmikanta Dash.
The Hanuman Chalisa programme was organsied at all the district headquarters and Hanuman temples in the State.Signature of devotees participated in the events were also collected on the occasion which was later submitted to the Governor urging him to facilitate a CBI probe into the delay in Brahma Parivartan rituals.
