HINDU SAMRAJYA DIVAS OBSERVED IN CITY

HINDU SAMRAJYA DIVAS OBSERVED IN CITY

Bhubaneswar,31/5-The Hindu Samrajya Divas, the coronation day of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was observed by various organisations here on Sunday.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS), Bhubaneswar observed the day at different places in the city with much enthusiasm. The speakers elaborated on the coronation of Shivaji and about the foundation day of Hindu Swarajya. They viewed that Shivaji became an example of patriotism and generousness by protecting the motherland as a Hindu leader at that time.
Similarly, the Chandanhajuri pravata sakha  also observed the day at the  unit - 3,Saraswati sishu vidhya mandir here, where chief guest Senior worker  of Simanta Surakhya  Samiti  Sj Subhas Nandi said Shivaji had created the base of an ideal ruling system and infused courage and self-confidence among the Indians during that time. He was a courageous fighter and ideal ruler of repute, added Nandi.
Subhas Nandi said in Maharashtra, the day is celebrated as Shiva Rajyarohana Utsav-the day Shivaji was coronated. However, the RSS celebrates it as the Hindu Samrajya Dinotsav. The reason for this is simple. Shivaji himself, as a teenager, had taken the pledge to establish Hindavi swaraj and not his own kingdom. He had also declared that it was the will of God that the move will succeed. On his royal seal, he had declared that this auspicious raja mudra of Shivaji, the son of Shahji, would grow like the moon on the first day of Shukla Paksha and be recognised by the entire world.
Evidence of the all-Hindu character of the function came in abundance even at the time of the coronation. Jayaram, a gifted teenaged poet, came all the way from Tamil Nadu to pay his poetic tributes to Shivaji. Gaga Bhatta, a Vedic scholar of great repute, arrived from Kashi and prepared a new scriptural text to install Shivaji as a sovereign Hindu king. Waters from the seven sacred rivers of the country were brought for his holy bath.
Sakha's mukhyasikhyak Manoranjan Pattnaik coordinated the program whereas Sakha karyavaha Jagbandhu Pradhan welcomed the guests. Brahmananda Dash sang a patriotic song.
