Bhubaneswar,6/5 (vsk odisha): Eminent journalist and columnist Arun Kumar Panda has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Narad Samman-2015’ for his outstanding contributions in the field of journalism at a glittering function organised by Viswa Sambad Kendra, Odisha on the occasion of Narad Jayanti at Jaydev Bhawan here Wednesday.
Former Chairman of State Administrative Tribunal, Odisha, Bhubaneswar Haraprasad Das attended the programme as chief guest where Rastriya Mantri, Bharatiya Kishan Sangha, New Delhi Mohini Mohan Mishra was the chief speaker.
Viswa Sambad Kendra President Raghunath Pati and Secretary Niranjan Nayak were also present on the occasion

Notably, Narad Jayanti was chosen as the felicitation day because Devrishi Narad is the first journalist in this whole universe, who had worked for everyone’s well being. The annual award has been instituted by Viswa Sambad Kendra, Odisha since 2002.
