Swayamsevaka Sangha Bhubaneswar mahanagar observed rakhsya bandhan utsav today
with great pageantry. The utsav was observed at 53 various places in
Bhubaneswar like housing board colony, Baramunda village, Jagamarar, Jagannath
vihar, old Bhubaneswar, Bhimeswarpatna, Sundarpada, Bhimtangi, Sishupalgarh,
Budheswari colony, Vivekananda road, Sahid nagar, unit-9, Kolathia, unit-1,
chandrasekharpur, unit-3, Kharvela nagar, unit-2, unit-8, DPI colony,
Chakeisahani, IDCO colony, Rasulgarh, Patharbandha Slum, Nayapalli Behera sahi,
CBI chhak, Dumduma. Swayamsevaks moved to many slums and colonies and tied
rakhies. Today, the rakshya bandhan utsav was organized at Institute Of
Engineers auditorium on behalf of Bhubaneswar mahanagar. Scientist Shri Vikash
Kumar Jena of Regional Reaserch Laboratory was chief guest on this occasion
presided by Puri Sanghachalak Shri Baikuntha Sahu. He highlighted the
importance of rakshya bandhan in Indian culture. Shri Jagabandhu Mishra as
chief speaker emphasized on wiping out personal differences and to live
affectionately and in harmony with each other. Rakshya bandhan represents
society and family. From Himalaya to Kanyakumari, everyone is bind by a single
bond. It doesn’t denote only brothers and sisters. For protecting our nation,
we can tie rakhi to army officials. In order to protect environment, we can tie
rakhi in each other hands. RSS mahanagar karyavaha Prasanna kumar Senapati and mahanagar sanghachalak Dr. Basanta Kumar
Pati were also present on the dias.
