Dharma
Rakshya Divas is being observed in various parts of India from 31st
August to 5th September on behalf of Dharma Jagaran Samanyaya Bibhag
in memory of great saint Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati who sacrificed his life
for protection of dharma, culture and society. A grand event was organized in
Shri Jagannath mandir, Jagamara for this occasion.
Chief
guest on this occasion, Swami Sruti Sagarji Maharaj narrated how great
social worker Swami Laxmananda Saraswati
was. He said the criminals behind the assassination of saints who are
working for the upliftment of society should be severly punished.
Senior
journalist and state president of Dharma Jagaran Samanyaya Bibhag, Arun Kumar
Panda was the chief speaker on the occasion and emphasized on the failure of
crime branch for the past seven years in providing true facts behind the
assassination of swamiji.
Retired
IAS officer Sudarshan Nayak highlighted the works of Swamiji in Odisha like movements
for dharma rakshya and Go rakshya, sanskrit schools for villagers, girls
hostels, astaprahari, nama sankirtan, carrying out satsangs, producing
medicines from cow wastes.
State
leader of Organization Binay Kumar Bhuiyan said that people of Kandhamal feels
orphaned in the absence of Swamiji. He was not only a dharmacharya but a karmacharya.
Kanaka Lata Pradhan, Dr. Sanjit kumar Panda and notable saints and
intellectuals were present on this occasion along with Bijay kumar sahu and
Khageswar Sahu.
