Ghar wapsi' legitimate, argues Togadia

Cuttack-
International working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Praveen Togadia on Sunday goaded the Centre to bring a national legislation to stop conversions across the country.
Speaking at a public meeting here as part of the VHP’s year-long golden jubilee celebrations, Togadia strongly defended the Ghar Wapsi (home coming) drive arguing that it is legitimate and Constitutional. “Since the Supreme Court has observed that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life, Ghar Wapsi cannot be termed as unconstitutional,” Togadia argued. Narrating several instances as to how Hindus are discriminated against in the country repeatedly by different dispensations both at the Centre and in States, the VHP leader called for a change of the Constitution and making India a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ to uphold the dignity of the Hindus.
He said the VHP over these years has worked sincerely towards providing security to all Hindus across the globe, their prosperity and dignity. To achieve security, prosperity and dignity of the Hindus, Togadia prescribed a six-point blueprint for each and spoke at length against ‘Love Jehad’, illegal immigration of Bangladeshis and conversions made by Muslim and Christian missionaries.
